Online Trip Planner

Greater Lansing is on the move...where will you go today? Find and compare routes with Trip Planner.

CATA has over 30 fixed routes within the Greater Lansing area. There are several ways to figure out if there's a CATA route near you. 

  1. Download the Transit App 
  2. Access the online Trip Planner at cata.org (more information below)

To use the Trip Planner on CATA's website, click on the "Plan my Trip" box on the homepage. Enter the name or address of the location you want to leave from and go to. If you want to plan the trip for any other time besides the current day and time, you can enter the information in the bottom of the trip planner box, then click "PLAN MY TRIP". 

The Trip Planner may give you several options listed under the Plan My Trip button. All results will provide total trip time, route number, and whether or not walking is involved. You can ask for options with less walking, fewer buses, or a stop that accommodates wheelchairs. The map displays the route the bus will travel. Sometimes your Trip Planner will provide multiple routes. In that case - the choice is yours.
