A number of MSU campus and off-campus routes are disrupted when MSU hosts a football game. Road closures on campus require certain bus routes to go on detour before, during and after a football game.
Detours are published online at cata.org under Detours & Rider Alerts.
When MSU hosts a Friday night home football game:
- Campus detours will be in effect on Routes 20-26, 30, 31, 32, 38, and 39. See links to maps below.
- Routes 25, 30, and 39 will begin detouring six hours prior to kick-off and continue until two hours after the game.
- Routes 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 31, 32, and 38 will begin detouring five hours prior to kick-off and continue until two hours after the game.
- Route 33 will end service for the day five hours prior to kick-off.
- Significant delays may occur on these routes.
- Routes 24 and 25 will not travel to Ramp 5 on Red Cedar while on detour.
- Route 26 will not travel to Ramp 1 while on detour.
- Routes 30, 31, and 32 will continue to travel to Ramp 1 while on detour.
- Routes 20, 38, and 39 will continue to travel to the Shaw & Farm Boarding Area while on detour.
- Lot 89 football shuttle will start service five hours prior to kick-off.
When MSU hosts a Saturday home football game:
- Campus detours will be in effect on Routes 20-26, 34, and 35. See links to maps below.
- Routes 25 and 35 will begin detouring six hours prior to kick-off and continue until two hours after the game.
- Routes 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, and 34 will begin detouring five hours prior to kick-off and continue until two hours after the game.
- Significant delays may occur on these routes.
- Routes 24 and 25 will not travel to Ramp 5 on Red Cedar while on detour.
- Routes 34, 35, and 36 will continue to travel to Ramp 1 during the detours.
- Route 20 will continue to travel to the Shaw & Farm Boarding Area while on detour.
- Routes 22 and 23 will not travel to the Shaw & Farm Boarding Area while on detour.
- Route 36 will not be detoured.
- Lot 89 football shuttle will start service five hours prior to kick-off.
