Boarding and Exiting with a Mobility Device/Wheelchair

All buses are equipped to take two people traveling in mobility devices. Learn the best ways to board and exit below.

Boarding:

All buses have ramps for people traveling with a mobility device. The driver will lower the bus and extend the ramp so you can access the bus. Let the driver know where you would like to be let off so they can be ready to help. Passengers with mobility devices will be moved to one of the designated securement areas located at the front of the bus. The driver will secure your device to the bus with a series of straps that attach to the bottom of your device. Optional lap and sash seat belts are also available at your request.

If you are using a walker or crutches, ask for the ramp to be extended, pay your fare, and continue to your seat.

Exiting:

The driver will remove the securements when you reach your stop, and engage the ramp at the front of the bus so you can exit.
